I thought my 90-day challenge would be perfect.
The truth
Some of you might already know that I’m doing a 90-day challenge. I’ve been talking about it a lot on Instagram and YouTube. This is for those of you who are already doing it with me, and also for anyone who wants to start but hasn’t yet.
I have to tell you how the first 30 days of my 90-day challenge went because, honestly, it’s been kind of funny and unexpected. Even before it started, I was too excited and confident. I really thought I could do everything perfectly from day one.
Week 1 actually went really well. I did all the things I planned to do because, of course, I was full of motivation and energy.
Then week 2 came, and I was like, wait, who said this would be easy? Suddenly, I was tired, trying to fit too much into my day, and my brain just didn’t want to work.
Some days, I literally sat at my desk doing nothing, staring at the screen and wondering why I even started this challenge. I questioned myself a lot.
By week 3, something slowly started changing. I began to see small wins here and there. My brain felt less tired, and I started finding a rhythm, even though I still missed some of my goals and my sleep was a total mess. But I started feeling a little more in control.
Even with so much to do, I tried to bring the same focus I have at work into my personal life. It made me feel calmer and more satisfied. I realized that even a little bit of discipline makes things so much better. I picked three simple goals for this challenge. Health, work, and mental well-being. Keeping them simple helped me actually notice my progress instead of feeling overwhelmed.
The best thing I did was upload a YouTube video about my 90-day goals. So many people messaged me saying it helped them, and some even started doing their own versions. Here it is in case you want to start the challenge.

That’s when I started sharing more updates on YouTube and Instagram. It made me more serious about the challenge because I felt like people were waiting to see how I was doing. It’s the first time I’ve stayed consistent for this long, and it feels really nice knowing someone out there is cheering me on (Follow my IG and YT if you wanna see the updates)
But it’s not all wins. I still fail sometimes especially with sleep. I’m actually writing this at 1:15 a.m. But I’m learning to be okay with that because progress doesn’t have to be perfect.
So here’s what I really want to tell you, like a friend or a sister.
Everyone says that you need to live a hard life, do a 100-day, 90-day, or 75-day challenge, and work super hard. There’s so much advice on the internet about this. But I just want to tell you, it doesn’t work the same for everyone.
If you really want something to happen, you need to understand what actually works for you.
Don’t try to do everything at once. You’ll just get tired and feel like nothing is working.
Instead, notice how small things make you feel better, like your mood, your energy, your day. That’s how you’ll figure out what truly works for you, instead of following random internet advice that doesn’t fit your life.
Love,
Aswathy
